[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Alshon Jeffery, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:43, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, my to do list or whatever is to create pages for a couple more Gamecocks who are likely draft prospects. I checked out your page and it looks like you're the football player bio guru, so I was wondering if you could link me a couple examples of "good articles" about current college players. Thanks. - I understand your desire to create pages, but if a college football player has not yet passed WP:GNG, it is likely that your page will be deleted before they have a chance to be drafted. However, if you believe that the players you intend to create pages for will be able to pass WP:GNG, I'll gladly help you. If you could provide me with a list of players, that would be great. I by no means want to spam Wikipedia with a bunch of insignificant benchwarmers. I just thought it was iffy that I found pages for people like Stephon Gilmore, who has always been a very hyped player but honestly has been a career under-performer, but not for Devin Taylor, a guy who was a sleeper out of high school because he was only 220 on a 6'6"+ frame. He has since increased his bulk by 40 pounds and his playing ability by a helluva lot. I really only have one other player on my list, and that's Melvin Ingram. I actually have a short article mostly done on a notepad file on my hard drive. Taylor and Ingram are both going to go fairly high in the draft, so I would expect them to be generally relevant to the encyclopedia. I guarantee they will each have pages in 2 or 3 years without any action on my part. As for significant coverage, I can find a fair amount of information from SC newspapers, but can I also use Rivals.com premium content? If so, I could make very detailed pages for Ingram and Taylor, and I could make significant contributions to Lattimore, Gilmore, and Jeffery as well. The only players I really intend to cover are those who are most likely to be relevant beyond their South Carolina careers. Like Pat DiMarco was one of the best players we've ever had, but he was just a fullback with little NFL potential, so I have no intention of covering him. I'm just trying to help the encyclopedia, and maybe get a little more recognition for the dark horses out there.

- Ingram appears to have a very strong chance of getting drafted per [1] and probably passes WP:GNG. I say go for it, and if you need any help, just ask. Eagles 24/7 (C) 21:33, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
