Suntv Shahul

Shahul is an Indian Model, Television Presenter and Director. He worked for Sun Tv since 1993. He is noted for casual and interactive interview skills particularly when interacting with Celebrities and Important Personalities. His regular appearances were Nalandhana , Sendra Vaara Ulagam a World Wide weekly round up on International news and issues, 500 + episodes each 30 minutes. He is also the question master of Sports Quiz an interactive quiz program with student teams 140 episodes, each 30 minutes. The best thing about Shahul is “None of his program has gone off air so far, in mid way”

Early life:

Shahul was born in Tenkasi. His mother Ayesha is a home maker and his father Mohammed Ali is a Pharmacist. Shahul is the only son. He is also the grandson of Ex Minister Kadayanallur Abdul Majeeth (Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Cabinet). Most of his family members are Doctors or Business Men. Shahul is the only person in his family who came to Media. He was brought up in Chennai. He attended Hindhu.Hr.School, and B.A.,Sociology in New College and completed M.A., Sociology in The University Of Madras. While at New College he was a part of a Musical troupe Geetanjali . It was his first attempt in singing in second year of his college and joined the musical troupe. Muzaffer Ahmed All India Joint General Secretary IUML childhood friend & Family friend, W.V Raman (Cricketer) is his friend and schoolmate.

==Personal Life : == Shahul Married Sakeena in 1998 she is a home maker. Shahul and Sakeena are blessed with two daughters. ==Shahul’s Policy :== Be Indian and Buy Indian. He uses only Indian products some of them are John Players, Sun Feast, Himalaya Herbals, Repute etc...

Career:

All was unexpected; he never thought that he would join Media Industry. He started his career with Modeling and has done more than 100 campaigns notable were – Bajaj M80 , Harpic, Savlon, Amrutanjan etc… His father told him to join Sun Tv.

First Program : Vanthathum Varuvathum – Presenting Viewers comments, Reviews and Program Schedules Later he moved to present programs based on Sports, Talk shows etc… He is always interested in interviewing people. He never selected programs initially he accepted whatever was proposed to him. He will decide based on the information provided and before meeting people. His best quality is casual presentation depending on the program he would change his style of interview. Most frequently watched programs by the viewers are Sendravara ulagam, Nalamdhaana, IT.com, Sandhipoma etc... Interested in questioning interviews, he gained popularity through Anchoring. He loves to interview people such as Non – political Personalities his interviews are informative and entertaining. Best example is IT.Com – From Management till Marketing the notable episode with renowned Personalities are Mr.Chandra Shekhar Cognizant Technologies Solutions – Head, Mr.Sivarama Krishanan Marketing Head Cognizant Technologies Solutions When it comes to entertainment he has interviewed more than 15 renowned celebrities His most favorite was the episode with Arivu Mathi for the Program Santhipoma, that episode was a discussion about untouchable people. Lot of hidden information / facts of the society was revealed in that episode he also believes that his book Dalit Ilakkiyam has revealed more pain of the Dalit People. Directorial Debut:

His Directorial debut is Vilambara Kanavugal – 12 episodes its about Advertising Industry. Since Shahul has a keen interest in Advertising and he started his career with Advertising he thought of making Vilambara Kanavugal. It’s a talk show where he would invite people from Advertising Industry, Audience, and People from marketing field. People who helped him making it success were Mr.Kalanidhi Maran, Srinivasan, K.Swamy, Jagannath and Rudra. The discussion was about Television Commercials, Gate fold / double spread advertisement, holding bulletin research, Environment, Commercial viability, Experts panel would give the conclusion of the discussion

==Vilambarakkanavugal :== Dream Merchants of the advertising industry Conceived, directed and anchored 12 episodes each 30 mins series on die India Advertising Scenario, personalities in advertising, and issues in the field. This program was aired on Sun Tv, the most watched Tamil Channel, in June 1996 during prime time on weekends. Thomson TV sponsored Golden Moments of Indian Cricket Co - directed 13 episodes 30 mins series on Indian Cricket team’s golden moments on Raj Tv, a well -known Tamil Channel. Programs was produced and anchored by K.SriKanth, Former Indian Cricketer and Captain, and was sponsored by Thomson TV. Co produced a Tele Film Naragathai Nokki and designed the production as well as the distribution process (2010 - 2011) Worked as Creative Head in a documentary History of Kayalpattinam which speaks about the tradition, culture, and the Heritage of Tamil Speaking Kayalpattinam people (2011) Has Produced a Promotional film for a Company (Property developers) in 2012.

His other ventures :

Partner in Graphic Associates , Chennai. Advertising and Communication Agency 1998-2001 Founder of Kreative I since March 2001 a close nit entrepreneurial venture which handled very exclusive clients and their requirements for TV production, ad films, multimedia design and presentations. Pre-press and allied creative services. In addition, provide advertising and marketing consultancy services to niche market segment on a case to case basis. Currently working as a Media Consultant (Programming and Production) for various International as well as Indian Channels. His area of Interest is always Advertising, Marketing.
