Urban Core (Jacksonville)

[edit]

I’m sorry I had to revert your page back to Downtown Jacksonville. I spent a few days wondering what to do with it. I agree with you that the term Urban Core is a word worth defining, but the Downtown Jacksonville pages covers topics that are Downtown centric. Certain organization and the city have differing definitions of what constitutes downtown. The broadest includes LaVilla, Brooklyn and the stadium area. The term Urban Core is even more amorphous than that. There is an Urban Core planning district that includes the broad definition of downtown, plus Springfield. Urban Core can be used to describe the areas of Jacksonville prior to consolidation. None of it is black and white. In my opinion a separate page could exist describing what constitutes the Urban Core. It will overlap greatly with downtown, but allow it to include its broader definitions. The best thing you could do is start a talk thread and discuss the best ways to develop this idea. I will happily help to make this happen. Mathew105601 (talk) 10:56, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
