Kaziranga National Park[edit]

Hello, I've reverted some recent edits you've made at Kaziranga National Park. Random general knowledge websites are not reliable sources on Wikipedia; if you want to add that information, you have to find articles in newspapers or academic journals that say the same thing and use those as references.

Also, the text you added was copied from GKfunda. This is a copyright violation and you should not copy-paste text from other websites here again. Wikipedia is meant to be a free encyclopedia and all text here is licensed that way; using text copied from other sources can create legal issues for Wikipedia and is not allowed.

We're always glad to see new editors helping improve articles here, so remember these two things while contributing in the future and have fun contributing! AryKun (talk) 07:07, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Subject: Clarification on Copyright Allegation Regarding Gkfunda Content
Hello AryKun,
Thank you for your message and guidance regarding the recent edits on the Kaziranga National Park Wikipedia page. We appreciate your vigilance in ensuring the reliability of sources and adherence to Wikipedia's guidelines.
I would like to clarify the second point you raised concerning the alleged copyright violation from Gkfunda. I must inform you that Gkfunda is, in fact, our website. We are the creators and administrators of Gkfunda, and the content you identified was originally authored by us. Therefore, there is no external source from which we copied and pasted the information.
Our intention is to contribute accurate and valuable information to Wikipedia, and we certainly want to adhere to all copyright and content policies. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to discuss them, and we'll ensure that our contributions align with Wikipedia's standards.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to continued collaboration in improving Wikipedia content.
Best regards,

You can't write something on your own website and then turn around and use that as a source here. That is in violation of several policies, in particular WP:NOR, WP:RS, and WP:SPAM. MrOllie (talk) 16:03, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 16:02, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
