April 2024[edit]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Bishonen | tålk 13:32, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

my page INFRADREAM has been blocked, i am trying to provide information about public company.

Decline reason:

Yes, we don't want you doing this. Wikipedia is not for merely providing information, especially by a subject itself(or its representative). Your choice of new username is no better, please read the username policy; accounts are for individuals, not organizations(your real name is not required) though your organization name can be a portion of your username(like "JohnDoe of Infradream"). Please read conflict of interest and paid editing(which includes being employed by this company in any capacity). You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about this company. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you want to be a general contributor and edit about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. 331dot (talk) 09:33, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What topic do you want to contribute to? What is the source of the information you wish to contribute? stwalkerster (talk) 10:20, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i want to know, where i have violated the policy of Wikipedia. Can you elaborate! simply deleting my drafts!! i have not used any advertising or promoting words or sentences in my draft. would request you to unblock it. INFRADREAM (talk) 11:02, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not for advertising. See WP:NOTADVERT, which is policy. Your sandbox completely violated this, with phrasing such as "A. K. INFRADREAM LIMITED is a leading real estate development organization with an outlook toward providing the best possible living standards" and "The company is on a mission to transform the non-agricultural lands with lavish residential and commercial properties". Would you expect to see words like "leading", "best possible", "mission", and "lavish" in Encyclopedia Britannica? Wikipedia is also an encyclopedia. Bishonen | tålk 11:28, 3 April 2024 (UTC).[reply]
ok got your point, that's why it was in sandbox and not published mode.
what I know that the sandbox on Wikipedia is a space where users can experiment with editing, draft articles, and practice formatting without affecting actual Wikipedia articles. It's a safe environment to refine content before submitting it for review and publication. It's a valuable tool for learning how to contribute effectively to Wikipedia without the risk of unintentionally violating policies or guidelines.
Don't you think deletion process should be on published articles not on drafted one!
Please educate me, where am i wrong! INFRADREAM (talk) 05:13, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm quite certain it's possible to experiment with editing without adding corporate spam. You're correct that we tend not to delete good-faith drafts of articles, but there are still many circumstances where we will delete and that includes promotional spam. Even drafts and sandboxes are publicly viewable (though hidden from search engines) - there's no such thing as a private draft on Wikipedia. stwalkerster (talk) 10:46, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I've taken note of your concerns. Now, what steps should I take if my access to Wikipedia has been restricted, including my ID, IP, and account being blocked? How can I continue contributing to Wikipedia under such circumstances? INFRADREAM (talk) 04:45, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can't contribute if you're blocked; that's what "blocked" means. To be unblocked, your first step would be to reply to the questions put to you by three administrators above (me, 331dot, and Stwalkerster): "Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked"; "If you want to edit about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what those might be"; "What topic do you want to contribute to? What is the source of the information you wish to contribute?". So far, you have merely changed the subject instead of replying. You're not doing yourself any favors by ignoring what we ask. I would add that attempting to edit via IP would be block evasion; you have an account(this one) so focus on getting that unblocked. 331dot (talk) 17:03, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
