Hello, these images are not copyrighted so I am unsure how to get past the automatic deletion...

Ibeedevinyo (talk)

Ibeedevinyo The photos are taken by two different photographers and appear in numerous magazines, so unless you somehow own the copyright and can prove as much, they cannot exist on Wikipedia. SANTADICAE🎅 18:46, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's news to me as I work with these actresses and am the only one who has these photos so can you please let me know what publications they appear in? We purchased the rights from the photographers to use them as we please....

Ibeedevinyo (talk)

Ibeedevinyo You need to first cease editing any of their articles and read WP:PAID and disclose. SANTADICAE🎅 18:50, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! So if I add

to the top of this page, I will be permitted to update their photos to the ones we own?Ibeedevinyo (talk)

No, the copyright status of these images is still uncertain. See you talk page on Commons c:User talk:Ibeedevinyo where at least one use of each image is listed. If you did purchase these images from the photographers then we would need to see the evidence of this. You can email permissions-commons@wikimedia.org including the evidence e.g. the contract between you and the photographers. You also need to change the captioning of both photos - currently you state that they are your own work, which from the comments above is obviously not the case. Even if you do own the copyright, you should attribute the original photographers. You also need to be aware that be releasing the images using the {{cc-by-sa-4.0}} licence you are allowing any one else to use the photos for any purpose they wish anywhere, including making commercial re-use of them, without any further permission being needed. Is that really your desire? Nthep (talk) 19:29, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this information, it is very helpful. You may delete the mentioned photos. What would you recommend for us wanting to update their photos to more recent ones? If it can't be seen anywhere else on the internet?

Ibeedevinyo (talk)

Well you're going to have to find photos that the copyright holder are happy for others to re-use. It's a basic principle of Wikipedia that as much content as possible is free for others to use. So, while we have a reasonably recent image of Tasha we're not going to permit the use of a non-free photo. You say you work with Tasha, the simplest solution is for you to take a photo and upload that.

Hello, your analysis on my edit is completely false. Adding a photo sent directly from the Tasha is not vandalism, it is what I was instructed to do above....

Ibeedevinyo (talk)

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 21:57, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is the WORST website. Continue to have out-of-date photos then.....Im done trying to fix it. So the above isn't true I take it ? I am not able to update her photo if I own it? Because you keep removing it without giving a proper reason.... Ibeedevinyo (talk)
