Welcome![edit]

Hello, Icocci, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Lots of evidence points to this having been found on the web, and not even being known authentic NaBH3CN. I recommend taking a step back and re-reading your training materials to make sure you are following your academic and wikipedia policies. DMacks (talk) 07:59, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Sodium cyanoborohydride is certainly an important chemical! Lots of companies have worked on producing it or developing uses for it, and companies love to patent their work. But interestingly, patents are generally not acceptable as sources in Wikipedia articles because they are solely what the applicant claims themselves. It's not like a refereed article in a research journal or a secondary-source review in a reputable publication. They therefore usually do not meet the WP:RS standard.
