With inappropriate, belligerent edits like this:
...it is abundantly obvious that @Mr.sandippaul is also WP:NOTHERE to constructively contribute to Wikipedia but rather treat it as her personal WP:battleground. If she’s “irritated” that it forces us to defend ourselves and the articles she targeting them perhaps the “help” she needs is a re-fresher on how to be WP:civil and step down from her WP:soapbox? Why are you coming from multiple IPs? What happened to your previous IP? Was it banned or what? I never spoke in any inappropriate manner that is against the Wiki standard. I explained everything with facts. I don't know why you are targeting people who edited "The Flash." It looks like you have some issues with this film and its editors.   • The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 18 July. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 19 July. It will be on all wikis from 20 July (calendar).
  • MediaWiki system messages will now look for available local fallbacks, instead of always using the default fallback defined by software. This means wikis no longer need to override each language on the fallback chain separately. For example, English Wikipedia doesn't have to create en-ca and en-gb subpages with a transclusion of the base pages anymore. This makes it easier to maintain local overrides. [1]
  • The action=growthsetmentorstatus API will be deprecated with the new MediaWiki version. Bots or scripts calling that API should use the action=growthmanagementorlist API now. [2]

  • The Synchronizer tool is now available to keep Lua modules synced across Wikimedia wikis, along with updated documentation to develop global Lua modules and templates.
  • The tag filter on Special:NewPages and revision history pages can now be inverted. For example, you can hide edits that were made using an automated tool. [3][4]
  • The Wikipedia ChatGPT plugin experiment can now be used by ChatGPT users who can use plugins. You can participate in a video call if you want to talk about this experiment or similar work. [5]

  • It was not possible to generate a PDF for pages with non-Latin characters in the title, for the last two weeks. This has now been fixed. [6]

Recent changes

  • As part of the changes for the better diff handling of paragraph splits, improved detection of splits is being rolled out. Over the last two weeks, we deployed this support to group0 and group1 wikis. This week it will be deployed to group2 wikis. [21]
  • All Special:Contributions pages now show the user's local edit count and the account's creation date. [22]
  • Wikisource users can now use the prpbengalicurrency label to denote Bengali currency characters as page numbers inside the <pagelist> tag. [23]
  • Two preferences have been relocated. The preference "Enable the visual editor" is now shown on the "Editing" tab at all wikis. Previously it was shown on the "Beta features" tab at some wikis. The preference "Use the wikitext mode inside the visual editor, instead of a different wikitext editor" is now also shown on the "Editing" tab at all wikis, instead of the "Beta features" tab.   • The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 29 August. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 30 August. It will be on all wikis from 31 August (calendar).
  • New signups for a Wikimedia developer account will start being pushed towards idm.wikimedia.org, rather than going via Wikitech. Further information about the new system is available.
  • All right-to-left language wikis, plus Korean, Armenian, Ukrainian, Russian, and Bulgarian Wikipedias, will have a link in the sidebar that provides a short URL of that page, using the Wikimedia URL Shortener. This feature will come to more wikis in future weeks. [26]

Future changes

  • The removal of the DoubleWiki extension is being discussed. This extension currently allows Wikisource users to view articles from multiple language versions side by side when the <=> symbol next to a specific language edition is selected. Comments on this are welcomed at the phabricator task.
  • A proposal has been made to merge the second hidden-categories list (which appears below the wikitext editing form) with the main list of categories (which is further down the page). More information is available on Phabricator; feedback is welcome!

  • A discussion at WP:VPP about revision deletion and oversight for dead names found that [s]ysops can choose to use revdel if, in their view, it's the right tool for this situation, and they need not default to oversight. But oversight could well be right where there's a particularly high risk to the person. Use your judgment.

  • ORES, the revision evaluation service, is now using a new open-source infrastructure on all wikis except for English Wikipedia and Wikidata. These two will follow this week. If you notice any unusual results from the Recent Changes filters that are related to ORES (for example, "Contribution quality predictions" and "User intent predictions"), please report them. [34]
  • When you are logged in on one Wikimedia wiki and visit a different Wikimedia wiki, the system tries to log you in there automatically. This has been unreliable for a long time. You can now visit the login page to make the system try extra hard. If you feel that made logging in better or worse than it used to be, your feedback is appreciated. [35]

  • The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 12 September. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 13 September. It will be on all wikis from 14 September (calendar).
  • The Technical Decision-Making Forum Retrospective team invites anyone involved in the technical field of Wikimedia projects to signup to and join one of their listening sessions on 13 September. Another date will be scheduled later. The goal is to improve the technical decision-making processes.
  • As part of the changes for the Better diff handling of paragraph splits wishlist proposal, the inline switch widget in diff pages is being rolled out this week to all wikis. The inline switch will allow viewers to toggle between a unified inline or two-column diff wikitext format. [36]

Future changes

  • All wikis will be read-only for a few minutes on 20 September. This is planned at 14:00 UTC. More information will be published in Tech News and will also be posted on individual wikis in the coming weeks. [37]
  • The Enterprise API is launching a new feature called "breaking news". Currently in BETA, this attempts to identify likely "newsworthy" topics as they are currently being written about in any Wikipedia. Your help is requested to improve the accuracy of its detection model, especially on smaller language editions, by recommending templates or identifiable editing patterns. Notability tip: Professors can meet WP:PROF #1 by having their academic papers be widely cited by their peers. When reviewing professor articles, it is a good idea to find their Google Scholar or Scopus profile and take a look at their h-index and number of citations. As a very rough rule of thumb, for most fields, articles on people with a h-index of twenty or more, a first-authored paper with more than a thousand citations, or multiple papers each with more than a hundred citations are likely to be kept at AfD.

Reviewing tip: If you would like like a second opinion on your reviews or simply want another new page reviewer by your side when patrolling, we recommend pair reviewing! This is where two reviewers use Discord voice chat and screen sharing to communicate with each other while reviewing the same article simultaneously. My recent submission 'AFEX' was just rejected, with the reason being 'This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies'.

Are you able to provide specific instances where the submission reads like an advertisement, or where the references fall short? Most references are from independent, reliable, published sources such as The Guardian, Tech Cabal, Business DayNG, Financial Times, etc.

I believe this has been well-researched, and fair, and does not present the subject in a marginally superior light, so, I would really appreciate specific instances where the submission falls short of Wikipedia's standards, and implore you to read through again.

Hi @Contemporary Mercurial, welcome to Wikipedia. The explanation given in the decline message is very very clear. The article contains lots of promotions and promotional wordings, and they include, the "Business Subsidiary" section, the "Milestone and innovation" section, "Awards and Ranking" section and even statements like "AFEX provides market solutions for agricultural producers, processors, and investors along its commodity value chains by providing infrastructure and technology systems" are all promotional. Please do not submit again for review if not properly written. You should read this guild line titled Advertisements masquerading as articles and also learn how to write from a neutral point of view. Hi Idoghor Melody, Thanks for reviewing this submission. I've cited RIAA (the Recording Industry Association of America) which is the sole body that issues platinum certifications. I've cited ASCAP (the largest Performing Rights Organization which represents songwriters). I've cited Pitchfork (a premiere music magazine in America). Can you explain why these sources don't meet Wikipedia:Reliable sources?

As far as I can tell, Scott Bruzenak may be the only Billboard multi-platinum producer without a Wikipedia page -- I spent 45 minutes just trying to figure out who produced Daya - Hide Away and Daya - Sit Still Look Pretty which charted at #6 and #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. If there was a Wikipedia page for Scott Bruzenak/Noisecastle iii it would have been much easier to figure out.

Hi @RandomFX. The sources added in the article did not prove the subject is notable. The first and second source did not seem to meet WP:SIGCOV as the subject was mentioned just once in both sources. Infact, non of the sources is majorly about the subject of the article. An article should be supported by multiple reliable sources, so that informations can be verified.   • In the mobile web skin (Minerva) the CSS ID #page-actions will be replaced with #p-views. Thanks for quickly reviewing my submission. I haven't posted to wikipedia much, but when I saw there wasn't a reference for GreenLaunch I figured I might give it a try. I'm super into space cannons, so I thought it would be cool if there was more easily available information. Could you explain why the articles I referenced don't qualify green launch as notable? The articles I referenced seem more reliable than those used for the quick launch wikipedia page too who are mostly by the founder anyway.
