Information icon Hello, I'm Netherzone. I noticed that you removed topically-relevant content from Chögyam Trungpa. However, Wikipedia is not censored. Please do not remove or censor information that directly relates to the subject of the article. If the content in question involves images, you have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide images that you may find offensive. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you.

I'm not sure that you received the "ping" on the article talk page, where I moved the discussion. It seems that you have not yet set up a User page; it's super easy to create one, see more information here: WP:USERPAGE. Best wishes, and please do not hesitate to ask questions if you wish to set one up and have difficulty creating one. Netherzone (talk) 14:45, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Chögyam Trungpa. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. Netherzone

Illusionsgame, please stop undoing my edits on the Chogyam Trungpa page by using cultish censorship to hide the truth. Yesterday, I posted a Google link to pages of reputable books, newspaper and magazine articles that expose Trungpa's criminal activity, which includes being a sexual predator, child sex trafficking, using a child to traffic drugs across international and national borders, statutory rape, physical abuse of women and a prodigious cocaine habit. I do not want to be part of this disruption, but my husband and I wrote the first book that exposes Trungpa's illegal behavior (John Steinbeck IV and Nancy Steinbeck) in 1991. It was legally vetted and published by Prometheus, a respected publisher, in 2001. Since then, as you well know, there has been a tremendous outcry demanding the truth be told about CTR's dark side, which has included several lawsuits that deal with pedophilia in Trungpa's community. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Chögyam Trungpa; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop the slow-moving edit war on the article, go to the article talk page and discuss the matter with other editors so consensus can be reached. Thank you.
