TTIP and sockpuppetry
Perhaps you've got the wrong impression of me from the TTIP stuff - I would never use another name, and I wouldn't usually bother bickering. If you look back at the edits, all I was attempting was to include referenced information about the content of the Treaty. But one particular user has a history of deleting everything that he/she regards as not being complimentary of it. Wikidea 15:56, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
Reply to your comment on my talk (I moved this here once I noticed it. I second Wikidea's sentiments, though, as this is the same impression I got.)
- That's a fairly un-called for accusation. It is possible that more than one person holds a view different from your own, and equally possible that two people hold similar views. I happen to be new to Wikipedia as a user, and noted the general bullying/arguing which user:wikidea was undergoing, since I looked at the edits on the TTIP article when I felt like it was missing a fair amount of information. I don't know what the protocol is for replying to things, so I also replied on my talk page. Feel free to remove this. BemusedObserver (talk) 14:19, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
- For completeness, this is how I replied No, it wasn't an accusation. Read it again. I said that 'I hope that you are not'. It is unusual for a new user to dive into a controversy, displaying competent editing skills. You are certainly welcome to improve the TTIP article, but subject to the same demands made of every editor: add only material for which you have an external source, and that you fairly and evenly report that source. It is not about 'winning', it is about producing a reliable and trustworthy article. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 18:08, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
TTIP and GMO crops
According to de Gucht's prepared speech to the European Parliament plenary last week,
- "we will not import any meat that is treated with hormones; we will not give a blanket approval of imports of GMOs." [1]
The EU does allow sale of some GMO crops (with labelling) at the moment; but (I think) the range is quite limited, the approval process is difficult, and they're pretty unpopular with public opinion.
That's I think why the paper I quoted identified them. Not an absolute red-line, perhaps; but an issue that is certainly very sensitive. (And that opponents of the agreement don't hesitate to try to tar it with). Jheald (talk) 16:41, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
- According to Genetically modified organisms#Regulation,
- "The European Union differentiates between approval for cultivation within the EU and approval for import and processing. While only a few GMOs have been approved for cultivation in the EU a number of GMOs have been approved for import and processing."
- -- but still, I think, a comparatively small number. Jheald (talk) 16:44, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
- Regulation_of_the_release_of_genetically_modified_organisms#Europe has more detail, calling the EU regulations "possibly the most stringent GMO regulations in the world."

MK Dons New Kit
I have updated the MK Dons away kit, thank you for showing me. I'm afraid the kits are the best I can do with the patterns available. I sure wish there was a wider range! --RichardOwen97 (talk) 21:35, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
