I have just undone your edit to Box Hill which is inline with your previous edits for Burgh Heath, Walton-on-the-Hill and Tadworth. Dear John - I am disappointed that you have considered my edits to be promotional, as About My Area is a community website which is there to benefit the community by sharing information and giving non-profit groups and organisations a voice. It is sponsored by advertising just so that it can exist, but it's primary function is to provide the community with a useful medium, and it has the support of the local councils, residents' associations and charities. Whether worthy in approach or not the promotion of the website itself is the issue. The links that are being added are not deep/contextual to information which enhances the articles in question in any way. If every site that contained content about a geographical region was included then articles would have length 'external link' sections with little discernible value.
