- == "purpose-built" == - - The phrase does make sense in English! It means that the building was built for that specific purpose, that it is not a generic office block. But really you were right to delete it from the Berlaymont pic on the European Commission article, even if for the wrong reason. The term should really only be used of, say, a testing ground that was "purpose-built" to test the Mars Rovers. In other words, it should be only used of a building that was put up for a specific purpose and has no other purpose in mind. --Red King 00:52, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
