Japbot[edit]

I noticed that you recently created a bot account, before you created an owner account. The creation of a bot by a new user is a bit strange to me and I was just wondering what exactly you were trying to do. I was also wondering if you had read WP:BOT yet, as it outlines our policies on bots. Thanks, --Terrillja _talk 05:37, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bot accounts must be approved by WP:BAG and only actual bots can have bot in the name, which is required for bots. — Rlevse • Talk • 23:37, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Re: Can you unblock Japbot?[edit]

Re your message: No, I will not unblock the account. Bots need to be approved for use on Wikipedia and the bot does not appear to have approval.
