Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Jasonoschwald, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Alissa Moreno, seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Jasonoschwald. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 05:23, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
COI edits
[edit]Hello. Just in case it wasn't clear, I am a real person who has reviewed your edits and found them to be too promotional. Your edits also removed reliable sources without providing any replacement. Wikipedia is based on sources, not personal knowledge or professional expertise, so information you happen to know to be true must still be verifiable. I left you the messages above to encourage you to read about Wikipedia's policies.
I would also like to remind you that you must declare any paid editing per Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. You should do that on your user page: User:Jasonoschwald
The best place to discuss any proposed changes to Alissa Moreno would be Talk:Alissa Moreno. Again, before you do that, I would advise you to take a look at the above information, especially Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions about Wikipedia in general, or WP:COI, you can ask them here, and I will try to respond. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 06:15, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
