Speedy deletion

[edit]

I'm sorry, but not being authorised by the subject of an article is not a reason for speedy deletion. It is rarely successful at WP:PROD or WP:AFD either. Being out of date also doesn't come into CSD (speedy deletion). Peridon (talk) 14:51, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have removed your proposed deletion tag from Javier Mendoza because I believe, if I read your message correctly, you were not actually requesting that the article be deleted. Rather, you were asking for it to be moved to Mendoza because that is your stage name. Unfortunately, that is not possible because there are lots of places, people, and products named Mendoza. This page is what we call a "disambiguation" page - a page that shows other articles that have that same name.

(If I have misinterpreted your request and you really do want the article completely deleted, please let me know and I will delete it.)

Please be aware of several Wikipedia policies and guidelines in your editing here. First is our conflict of interest guideline. Wikipedia frowns very strongly on editing articles about yourself or your employer. The reason for this is that we seek to have a neutral point of view and do not like for articles to have a promotional tone. Please see also Wikipedia:Autobiography.

Most importantly, please be aware of our method of citing sources and our requirement that claims be attributed to a reliable source. Facts in the article, for example, information about the awards you have received, should be accompanied by a link to an appropriate news article.

If you would like assistance with any of these issues, please feel free to ask at the helpdesk or you can use the {{helpme}} template on this page to ask that someone come and help you. You can also leave a message for me on my talk page or use {{ping|B}} to notify me that you have replied to me here. --B (talk) 01:15, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
