When you are citing a sentence, please don't spam it with large numbers of references. On the sentence you added, there are 13 citations -- way overkill. For any one sentence, one reference is sufficient most of the time. Two to three citations is enough for almost every claim. From the guideline:

Two or three may be preferred for more controversial material or as a way of preventing linkrot for online sources, but more than three should generally be avoided; if four or more are needed, consider bundling (merging) the citations.

Ingenuity Thank you for your opinion - the reason that it has such a large number of citations is because the article notes "significant worldwide coverage", which means that the number of citations need to justify the adjective "significant" -- which previous editors to other articles have directed to mean multiple sources... had I used two or three (as you recommend) another editor would have come and deleted "significant" and noted that 2-3 references is not significant (as has happened in other articles)... and "worldwide" which would required sources(s) from around the globe, not just US. --JaxChix (talk) 15:01, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
