You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jayrope requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 18:37, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello Alexf, or to whom this may concern. I actually did intend to not promote myself here, only adding information, as per looking at fellow musician's pages i was under the impression, that there could/should be a page about jayrope as well. However i understand your reasoning clearly and wonder if that page could exist as a (German musician) stub for someone else to work on. I am not eager to write about myself. Besides that I tried adding sufficient references to show importance. However, like i stated before, i obviously see the conflict of interest here. Let me know, if there is anything i can do to avoid this. I am reading article guidelines and look into articles about others to understand in more detail, what should and shouldn't be done on Wikipedia. Besides that i would like to set up other pages as well, as to my knowledge about the particular types of music and artists i have in-depth knowledge about (contemporary electronic, stage music, ambient, electro-acoustic, improvised, German jazz, Czech pop and alternative etc.) I wouldn't mind using my yet existing user name for this, unless you see a strong reason to change it. At least i want to state, that per initial choice of my user name i haven't tried to obfuscate who i am. I am not intending to spam or self-promote. Thank you again and compliments to your work. Accept reason:

See below.

  • @Alexf: How exactly does this account represents a business or other organisation or group? Vanjagenije (talk) 21:40, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Vanjagenije: The way I saw it the deleted article prominently displayed links to www.jayrope.com -- Alexf(talk) 21:49, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Alexf: But, WP:UPOL allows usernames that represent personal, non-commercial web sites (without domain names). This username fits the description. Do you agree to leave this user's username? Vanjagenije (talk) 21:53, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Vanjagenije: Ok. Go ahead. User should not spam their work or their website. In my view, a website is not a person, and the way they wrote it they were promoting their business or art). Go ahead. -- Alexf(talk) 23:01, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
