Deletion discussion about Mit Peck

[edit]

Hello, Jbass3586,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Mit Peck should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mit Peck .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, User226 (talk) 18:21, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Vulfpeck has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Y not? 20:50, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

And also Vollmilch has been similarly nominated. -- Y not? 20:50, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated both for deletion. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vulfpeck -- Y not? 18:12, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vulfpeck infobox image

[edit]

Hi JBass, About the image you added to the Vulfpeck infobox, it is a non-free image. I am not 100% sure, but I am pretty confident that its use in the article violates this guideline WP:NFCI item #1, and WP:NFC#UUI item #1 (#2 and #3 show similar restrictions). I uploaded this image https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Vulfpeck-at-rockwood-october-4-2013.jpg. It is the only decent (encyclopedic), free and licensed image that I could find. I plan to replace the current image with this one, and thought to drop you a note in advance. If you reply, please do so here on your talk page, I will be watching it. There were no decent (encyclopedic) free and licensed images that show all the four band members, so I figure 2 is better than none. Bammesk (talk) 05:18, 3 January 2015 (UTC) By the way I do like the image that you uploaded. It is probably a better representation of the band :) Bammesk (talk) 05:23, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I was basing it off Lake Street Dive. JBass

I think lake street fails the guideline too, for the same reasons. Their non-free use rational is for their album article. For band articles there are the guidelines above, also note#1 and item#1. In both cases, lake street and vulfpeck, free licensed images (free equivalents) either exist or can be created. Bammesk (talk) 05:23, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
