Wikiproject Military history coordinator election nominations open

Nominations for the upcoming project coordinator election are now open. A team of up to ten coordinators will be elected for the next year. The project coordinators are the designated points of contact for issues concerning the project, and are responsible for maintaining our internal structure and processes. They do not, however, have any authority over article content or editor conduct, or any other special powers. More information on being a coordinator is available here. If you are interested in running, please sign up here by 23:59 UTC on 14 September! Voting doesn't commence until 15 September. If you have any questions, you can contact any member of the coord team. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 02:38, 1 September 2019 (UTC)

Not Vandalism if It’s True (He’s Legit Aussie)

Hi Jen,

If you refer to the sources that were already in the wiki page we edited, you would find that he is indeed Australian (and the original creator apparently couldn’t read their sources). The sucks comment was in reference to the thinly veiled Aussie accent that Netflix was trying to palm off as New Zealand to feed the American public that appears to not know better. Sorry that you are American and couldn’t pick up on it yourself. Adamwhatshisfaceisaussie (talk) 13:05, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

@Adamwhatshisfaceisaussie:, I made a mistake with the revert less related to the article and more due to your username. When I saw the name pop up in the User creation log, it seemed indicative of a single-purpose account. As such, I reverted the edit without reading enough, assuming it was an edit from an account created with the singular purpose of edit-warring his nationality to show as Australian, unaware that the nationality had already been altered, and you were simply correcting it. I apologize for this.
However, you really should change that username, Wikipedia does not like single-purpose accounts. Jeb3Talk at me here 13:10, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

Hi again Jeb (sorry I called you Jen, autocorrect thinks you look like a Jen, much as you thought that we were a single purpose account). We are not infact a single purpose account, as my brother’s name is Adam and he frequently gets mistaken as being not an Aussie. We are very passionate about his nationality, and all our usernames are related to his Aussie-ness. It just so happened that we discovered a mistake in this other Adam’s nationality and thought it was hilarious. Happy birthday, Jeb. Hope you enjoy being a 17 year old from Ohio and correcting vandalism one edit at a time. Not the hero we deserve but the hero we needed. :) Adamwhatshisfaceisaussie (talk) 13:18, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

@Adamwhatshisfaceisaussie:, Thanks for the Happy Birthday. Like I said, I see that you are not, in fact, a single-purpose account. I do, however, suggest that your username gives the appearance that you are a single-purpose account, and suggest changing it to something else. Glad we got this cleared up in a civil manner though! Jeb3Talk at me here 13:25, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

Also, you don't need a new heading for every new message.

Thanks for the advice, Jeb. I was unaware that my username would be make my account seem single use. I am new to this whole Wikipedia think and still not quite sure how to use it. I also don’t really know how this messaging works. I’m kinda just making this up as I go, much like how I conduct all areas of my life. So far, however, I have not been accused of vandalism in other areas of my life. It makes me sound quite badass so thank you. Perhaps you could teach me how to wiki properly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adamwhatshisfaceisaussie (talkcontribs) 13:39, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

I saw your revert

Jebcubed, I saw your revert. You really didn't state a reason to remove it, yet I stated my reasons for putting it there to begin with. Do you not agree that it's a case of stating the obvious, or is there a different reason this was removed ? Necromonger...We keep what we kill 17:54, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

Milhist coordinator election voting has commenced

Speedy deletion of my Sandbox content

I am writing to contest the speedy deletion of the article entitled “H-Pem”. I do not believe I have violated any of the articles listed as criteria for deletion.

The page is not a hoax or vandalism—it is an article about an existing website (www.h-pem.com), which was launched earlier this year and used by thousands of users. Several links to references are outlined in the article.

The page is also not meant to be an advertisement or promotion for the website, but rather an explanation about its origins, history, and purpose. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shahen books (talkcontribs) 14:41, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

No Problem. I've come to enjoy when vandals start vandalizing my talk, as they are just accelerating their ban. Happy to help Sam. Jeb3Talk at me here 14:55, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
