Hi Dave, (I'm presuming this is you), nice to see you have joined us on the Wikipedia. But I've got to say, your edits so far have been heavily biased toward your own work, and have an argumentative tone. I don't mind you describing your own peer-reviewed published research (on the contrary, it's a welcome addition), but the as you must be aware, your views don't reflect the current scientific consensus. The Wikipedia is all about conservative scientific opinion, and you're going to have to write in a more neutral tone if your edits are going to stick. Also, it's helpful to write in a less technical style than you have been, with less jargon. Anyway, I hope this doesn't put you off editing, it's good to have you here. Your December 2006 Jeholopterus edit[edit]

I removed your recent edit to Jeholopterus for being defensive & not NPOV. I did think that it merited discussion, just that it was inappropriate for addition to the article, & so I've moved it to the Talk page if you would like to continue the discussion there. --mordicai. 19:07, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

August 2008[edit]

Hi Jeholopterus, assuming as others have done that you are David Peters, I have to remind you about WP:NPOV. As your recent edit to Pterosaur was adding your own work, I'd recommend you visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Palaeontology/COI‎. This has been set up to allow those of us who have published manuscripts to add our research to Palaeo articles in a way that does not contravene WP:COI and W:NPOV (or even appear to violate WP guidelines). Hope its useful to you. Cheers, Mark t young (talk) 14:57, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
