Gerald Murnane

Thanks for the explanation of your edit to Gerald Murnane. I've posted a reply to Talk:Gerald Murnane. I didn't originally add the information to the article, but was surprised to see it pop up in my watchlist, and found it interesting. Maybe there's a case for keeping something of it? [1] I can give you a reason why there are no articles on that kinda stuff - Systemic bias.--HamedogTalk|@ 08:24, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the article, too (and so did a few others on the Australian Wikipedians' notice board), and while I don't know enough about Australian authors to help with any of the lacunae you noticed, I certainly appreciate your call-to-arms. Confusing Manifestation 13:07, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just want to second Confusing Manifestation's thoughts. The call-to-arms is much appreciated. Cheers, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 13:48, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jenny, further to the discussion of your Australian article on AWNB talk, you might not be aware of the Australian collaboration of the fortnight initiative (WP:ACOTF) where you might like to propose Gerald Murnane or Australian writers as the next collaboration. In addition, there's also WikiProject Australia, which you might find interesting. Kudos for actually creating Jessica Anderson, though - and making it better than the average stub. Daveydweeb (chat/patch) 07:01, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info: I will certainly go and look at ACOTF; I'm not a Wikipedia expert by any means, just an excited amateur in both fields. :) Jenny Sinclair 10:16, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
