RE: vandalism in holocaust article

Hi there! I'd be happy to help in any way I can. First, one must recognise that since anyone can edit Wikipedia anonymously, all sorts of articles are vandalised (most are popular search terms like "George W. Bush", "Wikipedia" "New York Yankees", "Britney Spears"). You can find a complete list of articles that are semi-protected, where newly registered and anonymous users (IP's) cannot edit at Category:Semi-protected. You can view the nature of the vandalism to The Holocaust article by viewing the article's history, which can be accessed by clicking the tab at the top of the page labelled "history". The vandalism to the Holocaust article seems to have been stemming from unique IP's; that is, different anonymous users from all over (you can "whois" the IP's to find out where in the world the user is editing from if you are curious to see any possible trends in the location of users vandalising the article). You can view the exact nature of the vandalism by clicking on the "diff" when viewing the article's history. This can be seen by clicking (last) next to the version you wish to see. This is the last instance of vandalism before the article was semi-protected, and consists of the user blanking a section and inserting a Hitler proclamation. Per my own brief overview of the nature of the vandalism, it seems as if the users vandalising were blanking sections and/or adding anti-Jewish rhetoric. A bot was not doing the vandalism, as far as I can tell and I think that some people with anti-Jewish prejudices target articles like these to insert hate speech. The same logic applies to lots of controversial articles, some that are not racially, ethnically, or politically charged. Some people vandalise the Britney Spears article because they don't like her personality or music, and some people vandalise the New York Yankees article because they don't like how they have a much larger payroll than the other professional baseball teams.
