This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Vok Liqueurs, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.vok.com.au/products/vokliquers.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 04:05, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I work for "Vok Beverages" and have permission to use the text that appears on the company website vok.com.au/products/vokliqueurs.html

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Vok Liqueurs, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.vok.com.au/products/vokliquers.html, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Vok Liqueurs and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Vok Liqueurs with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Vok Liqueurs.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Vok Liqueurs/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Vok Liqueurs saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! — madman bum and angel 04:08, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. — madman bum and angel 04:59, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please either e-mail me or e-mail permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org confirming your ownership of this material? This confirmation serves two purposes. The first is verification of your identity; as a copyright holder, I'm sure you appreciate that we wish to protect your intellectual property rights as best we can – you would understandably be upset if your material were submitted to Wikipedia by a contributor asserting permission and it was not removed. The second purpose is certification that you understand that you must license your material under the GNU Free Documentation License, which means, among other things, that:

  1. The text may be freely redistributed and used.
  2. It may be freely modified, and modified versions may also be freely redistributed and used.
  3. Any redistribution must include the full text of the GFDL itself.
  4. In all cases, the GFDL requires proper attribution of the author(s).
  5. The GFDL allows commercial re-uses provided such re-use is also under the GFDL.

You do not give up any of your rights to use the text: you are still free to publish the text elsewhere or to license the same text to other parties under any other license. The requirement to include the full text of the GFDL with any redistribution also makes stand-alone commercial reuse of the item unlikely in practice, incidentally.

I hope you don't begrudge this simple procedure we follow to ensure that Wikipedia is and remains free content.  :)

Cheers! — madman bum and angel 04:59, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vok Liqueurs

[edit]

I work for Vok Beverages and have permission to use the text that appears on our company website (www.vok.com.au). The article is written ija neutral tone to avoid conflict of interest.

I understand this text must be licensed under GFDL.

I am new to Wikipaedia and did not fully understand how an article should be uploaded.

You cannot make the confirmation on-Wikipedia. Please read my message. — madman bum and angel 05:30, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought i had ready your message? You requested that I email you to confirm ownership. Can you please explain what I need to do here?

Below is the information provided by Wikipadeia:

If you want to grant Wikipedia permission to use material from your site, but don't want to place a statement to that effect on your site, you can leave us a notice to that effect on the article's talk page (or on your user page if your site covers a number of topics). This does require that your site have a posted email contact, or some other similar means for us to verify that we really do have the relevant permission. Someone from Wikipedia will then contact that email address to confirm the permission, and we will be able to add your site to a list of those from which our editors may freely draw.

Am I not following this method? Can you please explain what I am doing wrong?

 Done – e-mail sent. — madman bum and angel 05:41, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies. I had missed your earlier messages. I am reviewing them now. — madman bum and angel 05:44, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! And sorry for any confusion.

Thank you for your message; I have forwarded it to OTRS. You've done all you need to do for now. Sorry for any inconvenience.  :) — madman bum and angel 05:46, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Vok Liqueurs

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Vok Liqueurs meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vok Liqueurs. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Image source problem with Image:Vok Footer.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Vok Footer.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:29, 19 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.
