[edit]You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Requested username:
Request reason:
I am an employee of Dale Rogers Training Center, a nonprofit agency that provides jobs for people with disabilities in Oklahoma City. In my role, I am responsible for updating our agency's web presence, including, but not limited to, the Wikipedia entry for our agency.
I understand the violation of the former username DRTCpr in accordance with Wikipedia's guidelines.
Generally, I will offer contributions as necessary in accordance with Wikipedia's guidelines that coincide with Dale Rogers Training Center's purview and interests.

I've fixed the formatting of your request and removed the duplicate one; posts only need to be placed in the larger edit window, not the smaller section header/edit summary window. Click "edit" and not "new section" to edit. 331dot (talk) 18:22, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
Hello, Thank you for the detailed response clarifying my request. I am updating this username to serve as more of a personal account, rather than one speaking on behalf of the agency. As such, I will offer edits as necessary to other pages that I have have unique verified knowledge and/or suggestions for corrections should there be factually incorrect information, or something that may need a source or clarification. Any possible edits offered to an agency page will be flagged as being contributed by a member of the DRTC team, so as to be fully transparent regarding Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest policy. I am now aware of how to disclose a COI as per Wikipedia's guidelines and will strive to follow this so as not to violate the terms. The same protocols would also be applied as a paid editor if/when I edit any content related to the agency.
Regarding WP:ER, I was unaware of this option and will now submit edit requests via this method. This may take time to familiarize myself with it, but I'm hopeful that following this policy, along with the COI and paid editor transparency (mentioned above) will reduce the possibility that this account will be deactivated in the future.
Other topics that I may offer edits as a general contributor include Oklahoma government, as well as athletics and entertainment.
I am again requesting to have the username reinstated as I will make every effort to follow Wikipedia's policies.

- You will need to make another unblock request, which out of fairness someone else will review. 331dot (talk) 15:41, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

Username compliance and policy understanding
Decline reason:
"Username compliance and policy understanding" is not a very good unblock request. Please read WP:GAB. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 14:26, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Policy recognition and assured future compliance Jhelm2501 (talk) 14:05, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 10:46, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

I am requesting reconsideration of the block on my account—formerly DRTCpr, and renamed to Jhelm2501 as of September 5, 2021. I understand the initial issue was that the account was used for advertising or promotion and the username represented a business. Upon investigating the issue thanks to the helpful reviewers at Wikipedia, I learned exactly how the previous actions were against Wikipedia’s established policies.
As such, I am now planning on operating this account as a personal page, offering suggested edits to publicly-facing Wikipedia entries within my expertise. Any future edits that I may offer specifically regarding an employer will be offered for approval with full disclosure of conflict of interest and/or paid editor if the situation warrants to avoid any perception of conflict. In addition, I have added a connected contributor disclosure announcement on my profile's talk page, acknowledging the connection to my current employer, which I may offer future edits. Should I change employers, I would update this information accordingly.
Thank you for your consideration!
