Re Taiwo Atieno

[edit]

Please stop reverting the content of this article - you are removing sourced material with your reversions, and substituting unsourced material. If you can provide a suitable source for the information you are adding that would be great, but continuing to remove sourced content will result in this account being prevented from disrupting the encyclopedia.

I would suggest that, as the article contains only material that is already in the public domain, Taiwo Atieno's privacy is not at issue. However, if you have specific concerns, these can be raised on the article talk page, you can post a notice at the Biographies of living persons noticeboard or you can E-mail Wikipedia directly. We will respond quickly to any genuine issues that are brought to our attention.

I should also note that, if you indicate that you intend to take legal action against Wikipedia, under the provisions of WP:LEGAL we will be obliged to ask you to refrain from further editing and block any accounts used by you until the legal actions have been resolved. Taiwo Atieno again

[edit]

Thank you for including a source in your recent edit. However, you also altered material that was already sourced in direct contradiction of what the source said, and again included irrelevant and unsourced material. I've once more removed the text that contravenes Wikipedia's policies on biographies of living persons, although because you provided verification I restored your edit regarding playing for Kenya's national team. Please take care that any future additions you make are also sourced, and do not remove sourced content without discussing it on the article talk page first. Thanks, EyeSerenetalk 19:28, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the sourced information I added has clear verification that Taiwo Atieno has a mother who is called Bridget Mary Glaisher and a father called Moussa Awuonda makes no contradiction to the page what so ever. It is very relevant to include a persons heritage and back round when there is information to prove this. Atieno's Luo heritage is very significant to Kenya and anyone searching him should be able to know this.

Yes, I agree that Taiwo Atieno's parentage is in the source you gave, so I've put that back in - thank you for correcting me. Regarding his tribal heritage, that was unfortunately not sourced (I can't see it mentioned in the Daily Nation article). Can you provide a source for that? PS As pointed out by User:Struway2, this article might be useful? EyeSerenetalk 21:30, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
