Very impressive for a first article! There are just a few minor issues which you or other editors can work on - further wikifying (adding links to other Wikipedia articles within the text), making sure album titles are in italics, and formatting the refs so the bare urls don't show. I'm not sure about the categorization as I'm not a jazz person, but you may want to enquire over at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Jazz if some of the categories are superfluous. Best wishes, and welcome to Wikipedia! Voceditenore (talk) 10:14, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your helpful comments. I will rework the bare URLs and improve "within Wikipedia" links. Regards.Jmcgill phd (talk) 20:16, 15 January 2010 (UTC)(talk)[reply]

Let me just echo Voceditenore's sentiment on a wonderful start with the Billy Phipps article. Bravo! There's a tool that you may find useful in your editting. Under "My preferences", in the "Gadgets" tab, there is under the section "Editting gadgets", a checkbox for refTools that provides a fill-in form for citations for web pages.
