Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:53, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi Jim. I apologize for making a Wikipedia page that seems to be promotional in nature. This really wasn't my intention. I just wanted people to know more about the product in general. As you can see, this is the first time that I have written an entry in Wikipedia. So to right my wrongs, I would like to enter a Kreyos wiki page through Sandbox first. I would love it if you could advise me on how to make the page more neutral and appealing to your site's standards. Thanks and I hope to hear from you the soonest!

Decline reason:

Such stated intent to edit still runs afoul of our conflict of interest policy. — Daniel Case (talk) 05:15, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your concern. I have read your conflict of interest policy and I will be more than willing to cooperate with regards to this matter. At this point, I would just like to ask you: what do I need to do in order for my account to be unblocked?

Decline reason:

Technically (based on the block message) you should probably choose a new username, however your current username does actually meet the relevant guidelines, so you can keep it if you wish. To be unblocked, you would need to undertake to avoid writing about Kreyos, at least until you had established sufficient trust from the community that you could do so in line with our policies. Your unblock request therefore needs to explain what articles you would like to edit, and what sort of editing you intend to do. If you aren't interested in contributing to Wikipedia beyond writing about Kreyos, then your account will not be unblocked. Yunshui  08:53, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing out what I need to do. I would like to change my username to Joed.demesa if that's ok, so as to prove to you that I really do want to be a neutral and insightful contributor for Wikipedia unaligned with any business entity. In the future, when I make inclusions to existing wiki pages, or create new content, I will dutifully indicate everything that I have omitted, included and added to the Talk page. I give you my word that I will do everything to provide good content that can be of great use to others in the future. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline, no comments within a week. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 04:43, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am willing to consider unblocking you, but your unblock request does not say what editing you hope to do, and even stops short of explicitly stating that your editing will not be all about Kreyos. JamesBWatson (talk) 14:23, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
