In response to your message on my Talk page-- yes, it's incorrect to sign actual encyclopedia articles. You're supposed to sign all comments in Discussion pages like this, but actual encyclopedia material is to be considered written by our huge and shifting "staff", without attribution for any one person. If you took the bulk of the text from a source that's ok with its inclusion in Wikipedia, even a published source authored by you, you need to cite that source in a References section in the article, not simply sign your name to the article. LSOC site[edit]

Hi, Joe. Officially there is no actual policy as far as I know. Until now such cases have been rare and decided on a individual basis, case by case. I posted the question on the official discussion page regarding the wiki policy concerning external links (Here's the link you can read my post on the discussion page and look over the policy yourself if you wish => Wikipedia:External links). I understand you concern about limitations being put on a reader's ability to further reseach an article's topic. I suggest we leave the link out for now until I hear back from other editors on the discussion pages, If most responses I'll put the link back in. Yes, there were a couple of responses in the Wiki policy discussion and the discussion on the Auto Project page. While there is still disagreement, the follwoing came of the discussion: the site features enough free content to be allowed, but much of this free content is in the form of a forum. Links to forums are discouraged on wikipedia as they are not exclusively written by experts and may contain extensive POV writing. Hello, unfortunately there is little in the way of controling the edits of other users. Just about the only thing one can do in this case is to contact Pingmaster, the user who deleted the link and leave a message on his discussion page. The problem here is that there is no real consensus and no clear rule on whether or not a link to an organization such as the LLSOC should be permitted. Some think it should, some think it shouldn't. In these cases, one can only start a dialog with the user who deleted the link. (That's the catch in an organization such as Wikipedia ;-)) I put the link back in for now. Whippany[edit]

Alansohn, I hope I'm putting this question in the right place... I see you've added content to the Whippany page. Although the content is correct, shouldn't we rely on the Hanover Twp page to hold this data and use the Whippany (and Cedar Knolls) pages to point to the Hanover page? I assume you're referring to a school entry I added. I put it in the Whippany, New Jersey article, because the school lists itself as being in Whippany. I have also added notables who have identified themselves as being from Whippany. I understand your issue, but I think it gives a bit of character to an article that is otherwise empty of it.
