January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Discospinster. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Wayne Pacelle seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 19:54, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Let me add, too, that perhaps more critically, we were trying to undo some of the tampering that had been done to the page previously. For example, a prior editor denuded the recognition of Wayne as a top animal advocate--which he certainly is--and our edits cited the bona fides he has on that matter. The previous editor, too, had inserted typos, also for example, which our edits addressed. The proximity of the donors in question was an issue because those donors previously mentioned were financially insignificant among the thousands of others who supported the $250 million organization. Many of those donors, at much higher levels, abandoned their support of HSUS because of what they considered an unwise and unjust separation from Wayne; the previous inclusions gave an imbalanced view, one might argue, in the other direction.
Thanks again. JosephGrove (talk) 21:47, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Discospinster. I'm wondering whether you've had time to give additional consideration of our edits and my reply to your response concerning. I believe it's the case that reviewers are volunteers, so please don't perceive me as rushing. But any update you can provide would be appreciated for sure.
Thanks! JosephGrove (talk) 20:50, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
