There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Vanjagenije (talk) 07:45, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of The Otherside (Band)

[edit]

Hello Theothersidemusik,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The Otherside (Band) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vanjagenije (talk) 07:46, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hey Vanjagenije,

I am a big fan of this Los Angeles band and felt that they needed a wiki page. This is my first attempt at writing an article in this format, so I am learning from trial and error. Please grant me more time to work on it. I am learning all these coding stuff as I go.

Thank you

No amount of time working on it will make an article acceptable if the subject is not notable. Please read WP:NBAND to understand Wikipedia's minimum notability requirements for bands, and then feel free to tell us which of those criteria the band satisfies (with supporting sources). I've renamed your account. PhilKnight (talk) 01:10, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The coding looks OK - but do you understand that wording like "dark, seductive beauty with a sound that explodes with hedonistic intensity and embodies the spirit" is in no way suitable for use in an encyclopaedia? It's pure spam, and it looks copied and pasted from a PR release or album cover - and that's not allowed either. Peridon (talk) 10:55, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
