Not at all! I also agree we could probably bring it to featured status, once all the refs are filled we should send it to peer review. Would be superb to have Dubstep on the front page. btw I enjoyed your cookbook :P - Zeibura (Talk) 12:38, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GREAT BLASKET

[edit]

Hello Kaini

Is the hostel on the island functioning again?

Were you recently on the island? (In the last month or so)?

Did you make a mistake saying the hostel was open?

It's very distressing to see there is now a tractor on the island.

Hello again,

You just sent me a message via the Blasket web-page. Much thanks.

We may well have met (though I don't recognise your name - it's not Irish). I have camped many times on the Blasket. Stayed in Ray Staggle's cow house (now occupied by Sue) a few times - and once I stayed in Slattery's house.

The situation on the Blaske is very distressing. I'm very reluctant to return - and I have such happy memories of the place. I was making enquiries for someone else. It was such a magical place and now its turned in to an arena of blackguarding. It should belong to everyone I feel.

Much thanks for wrting to me so swiftly.

I suppose it would be best now if this "dialogue" was deleated?

Paul

Quite convenient that the book has become so attractive to academia... maybe a self-fulfilling prophecy given that about half the work has been done for them already. Thought I'd make good use of it. (Far too much for me to read through right now, on the other hand.)

Even the academic databases I've been accessing, though, don't have the actual text of every article. You have access to a university library? –Unint 17:46, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hah yeah, that was a case in dire need of some disambig notices, an inactive boyband wasn't what I was expecting typing Skream! into the search box! Reminds me of all those years having to explain the difference between Katatonia and Catatonia when I was into metal - Zeibura (Talk) 03:52, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. They came out quite well in spite of having to take them quite hurriedly in case I dropped my camera in the mud! Anything else that could be put into the article from your view? --Candlewicke Consortiums Limited 23:47, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

U made a post saying i was vandilising the juggling records page. don't know what u mean. could u please expand. thanks

[edit]

Hey Kaini,

I don't believe the link is inappropriate. In fact it's highly relevant (link directly to an audiosample). I don't know why it is seen as link spam.

Keep up the good vandal fighting

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When using certain templates on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:uw-test1}} instead of {{uw-test1}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thank you. --Kubigula (talk) 04:20, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers. In exchange for the tip, I might have to try one of your recipes :)--Kubigula (talk) 02:47, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since you're one of few who might actually understand this,

Re:Image

Whoa, that would be great... I dunno how you'd get round copyright though. Fair use wouldn't work as it's not for critical analysis on that particular diagram. Not sure about whether recreating it would be okay, that's going pretty deep into copyright law and all depends on whether recreating the diagram would be a copyright violation or not, if not then a recreation could be uploaded as free content. Copyright law does my head in sometimes! - Zeibura (Talk) 00:25, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Nalle live.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Nalle live.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Carl (CBM · talk) 14:39, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use disputed for Image:Thefootstepsatthelock.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Thefootstepsatthelock.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:32, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
