Edit Summary Request
[edit]I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 06:58, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
The Psychology Wiki
[edit]Hi Kanadano! This is Jaywin from The Psychology Wiki. I was wondering if you'd be interested in taking a look at the Psychology Wiki. If you'd like, check out our mission statement. If this project looks interesting to you, feel free to set up a user page. We would certainly appreciate any contributions that you would be willing to make. Areas of possible interest to you might be the language & communication category and the liguistics category. Have a good one! EPM 06:21, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for asking (and your suggestions are quite appropriate as I was a teaching assistant for third year Psycholinguistics courses for two years and proofread J. Kess' textbook "Psycholinguistics"), but I've set other priorities for my wikipedia time for the next few months. User:Kanadano
Calgary Wikipedia meetup
[edit]Just a reminder that the Calgary Wikipedia meetup is this Sunday, 2pm, at Haymarket Café (1101 Macleod Trail SE). —GrantNeufeld 03:26, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
With the municipal election coming up, I figured it would be good to have another local meet of Wikipedia contributors in Calgary. This would be a chance to chat about Wikipedia stuff in general, but also to discuss ways to cover the election on Wikipedia. I’m suggesting next week, at a location (TBD) in the downtown area. If you’re interested in participating, please vote on when you’d like to schedule the meet. Thanks. —GrantNeufeld 22:00, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
