Halldorophone[edit]

The halldorophone^[1]^[2] is an experimental musical instrument invented by Halldór Úlfarsson^[3], it is a cello-like, electro-acoustic string instrument specifically intended to feedback the strings ^[4]^[5]^[6]. The halldorophone gained some recognition in early 2020^[7]^[8] when composer Hildur Guðnadóttir won the Academy Award for her original soundtrack to the movie Joker, some of which was composed with the instrument^[9]^[10].
