Thanks for uploading File:PrintAuditLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. A tag has been placed on Print Audit, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Status and Advice

[edit]

As reviewing admin, I think this not entirely promotional, so speedy deletion declined. But I made a number of edits to remove promotional material. You need to show notability with references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases You also need to write like an encyclopedia article, not a press release--don't praise yourself, say what you do. And, never copy from a web site -- first it's a copyright violation, but, even if you give us permission according to WP:DCM, the tone will not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable. For further information see our FAQ about business, organisations, and articles like this. I advise you to improve this article very quickly, before the article gets deleted by a regular deletion process. --the next step is to find good references and to condense the product listing. I have strong doubts that a company of this small size will be considered notable, unless there are excellent sources--I suppose it is possible for such specialized technology

More important, you need to read WP:COI It appears to me likely that you are also editing under the name of KayPhair Stewartkc75, and Lockevincent , and that you have made at least one additional article on another Calgary technology company , at "Psyko Audio Labs. I removed that one as promotional and no indication of importance, because it talked almost entirely about the general acoustic science behind the product, and used such totally promotional language as "Psyko Audio will continue to push forward with original and ground-breaking technologies that will shape and define the high-performance headset market." Bothe articles are also characterized by repetitions of the name of the company , and the name of the founder. This style is not acceptable. It is possible that the specific technology here is notable, but there is no indication at all that the company is. (that would need to be shown by third party sources such as reviews; if the technology is notable there will be, again, third party sources. )

It is possible for PR agents and the like to write good articles, but it is fairly uncommon. If this describes what you are doing--or even it it might seem that this is possibly what you are doing, you need to take extra care to write articles that belong in an encyclopedia, not a press release. We do want articles on notable technological companies, so be careful and do them right. I need to also warn you that f you continue editing in this manner, you are likely to end up blocked for promotional editing. DGG ( talk ) 04:43, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reply and Thank You

[edit]

Hello, thank you for your advice. I'm very new to Wikipedia and still trying to learn the rules and how everything works. I can tell you that I did not write the article for Psyko Audio Labs and do not edit under the names Stewardkc75 or Lockevincent. I did sign up as KayPhair at one point but really didn't know what I was doing! I am going to do some further research to find some more references to include in the Print Audit article. Thank you very much for not marking it for deletion. (Kferrier (talk) 16:00, 22 June 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Hello again. I have found a number of additional secondary sources and added them to the article. I also added a bit on Print Audit's customer service policy and cited the source for where I found the information. Please let me know if these changes are acceptable and what further changes I need to make. Thank you for your help. (Kferrier (talk) 20:07, 22 June 2010 (UTC))[reply]

The article Print Audit has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail WP:GNG, as the citations are all based upon press releases and do not appear to have obtained significant independent reliable source coverage. The various claims for notability listed in awards appear to be non-notable as well, as I am unable to find any reliable independent source coverage of such awards.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
