The page you created has been moved to Bouchta El Hayani, where it should stay per WP:NAME. If you feel that any part of his name should be in all-capitals, that means that part is an acronym, and you must then state what each and every letter stands for. Thank you. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 23:22, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you remove the comments of other editors again, as you have done twice already at Talk:Bouchta El Hayani, you will be blocked for disruption. Parsecboy (talk) 20:23, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for repeated talk page disruption. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Parsecboy (talk) 11:52, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In case you haven't realized this, there are several things you should know. 1): anyone can comment on any talk page. 2): No one is ever allowed to remove the comments of other people. 3): talk pages are almost never protected. 4): Personal attacks at strictly prohibited on Wikipedia. 5): I am an admin on Wikipedia. 6): You can't report someone for vandalism if they're not committing vandalism. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia in the aforementioned ways, you will be blocked again and again, until it reaches an indefinite length. To state things more clearly, if you revert the talk page or make a personal attack again, you will immediately be blocked for 1 week. Another time after that, it'll be a month. You are walking on thin ice, my friend. Parsecboy (talk) 11:52, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copyrighted images

[edit]

You continue to upload paintings by Bouchta El Hayani. This is a violation of Mr. Hayani's copyright on the paintings. You cannot scan the images into your computer and claim them to be your own work; anything that contains the painting is a derivative work, and is protected by the same copyrights as the original painting. If you do not stop uploading copyrighted works under false claims, you will be blocked from Wikipedia. Parsecboy (talk) 20:05, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The images are still copyrighted; Morocco is a signatory of the Berne convention. You say that Mr. Hayani has allowed the use of reproductions of the paintings for Wikipedia; for that to be valid, he will have to email OTRS to establish that he in fact does allow the use. Until that happens, the images cannot be uploaded to any Wikimedia server, including the Commons. Parsecboy (talk) 21:38, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And as for the two articles you mentioned, the images in the Picasso article are all either in the public domain in the US (because they were published in the US before 1923) or they have valid claims of fair use. The image in Noureddine Daifallah's article seems to be in the same position as the images you have been uploading for Mr. Hayani's article. As such, I have tagged it too for deletion from Commons, since it cannot legally be there. Parsecboy (talk) 21:46, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

well, that is actually funny: recent pictures of picasso published before 1923 ??? mhhhh do you who picasso is :) and for the pictures , once again wikipedia states clearly for a picture to be deleted that their should be a clear copyright statement which was the case of the previous picture. but for these sorry but you stated several contraditing and definitely unsolid arguments. a clear policy or wikipeproject with a b c would solve the issue. until then , the pictures will remain

Portrait of Gertrude Stein was painted in 1906, Portrait of Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler was done in 1910, and Portrait of Igor Stravinsky was created in 1920. Any work that entered into its copyright status before 1923 in the United States is automatically rendered into the public domain in the United States, and is therefore usable on the English Wikipedia (since the servers it runs from are based in the US). The other, more recent images in the article all have valid fair use claims.
As to your second claim, you are quite wrong. The burden of proof is on the uploader; you have to demonstrate, without a shadow of a doubt, that the images can be used on Wikimedia projects. Until you do, the images will be deleted again and again, until your account is blocked on Wikimedia Commons. The reason you will be blocked is because you have repeatedly violated international copyright law by uploading protected media, despite having been warned to stop.
