Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Henrik Steffens Professor. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Your persistent attempt to insert a false claim about the article being a duplicate, when it's clearly not, is vandalism, and I urge you to stop. --Kjelltyrid (talk) 23:24, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if you are not cool with it, contest it on the talk page of the article, do not remove the template itself. -★- PlyrStar93. Message me. 🖉 23:36, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No, because it's vandalism in the first place, and I have no obligation to do that. --Kjelltyrid (talk) 23:38, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Henrik Steffens Professor[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Henrik Steffens Professor. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Henrik Steffens. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Henrik Steffens. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. -★- PlyrStar93. Message me. 🖉 23:29, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That is a nonsensical and blatantly wrong claim as everyone who has actually read the articles is able to easily see. The articles cover two completely separate and unrelated topics, except the professorship being named after the other entity. --Kjelltyrid (talk) 23:30, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That's not the point. The point is that you don't remove CSD tags from pages you created. You put your reasoning on the talk page. Adam9007 (talk) 23:36, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The point is the aggressive vandalism on the article by a Nigerian editor, with a blatantly false claim about the article being a duplicate when it's obviously not, which needs to stop. --Kjelltyrid (talk) 23:39, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Kjelltyrid: Hello, Am sorry if you felt my action towards the article was an act of vandalism. But clearly a page with the same name already exist, you should have probably considered adding your new text or contents to the previous article which already existed. Once again i apologize as no harm was meant. Have a great day. Zazzysa (talk) 23:50, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That is 1) wrong (no other article on this topic exists) and 2) ridiculous, the content of the article on the professorship established in 1998 does not belong in the biography of the 18th/19th century individual. It's evident that you have not even read any of the articles. --Kjelltyrid (talk) 23:53, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you check Henrik Steffens you will realize that you are writing about the same person. Zazzysa (talk) 00:05, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am not writing about a person. The article about the professorship has nothing to do with that person except being named for him. It's a completely separate topic, and it doesn't belong in his biography. --Kjelltyrid (talk) 00:07, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It should have still been integrated into previous article whether biography or about his "Professorship" Zazzysa (talk) 00:15, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No it shouldn't and other articles about named/endowed professorships aren't squeezed into barely-related articles about people who lived two centuries before the professorship came into existence. --Kjelltyrid (talk) 00:16, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop editing the page; I'm trying to figure out what's going on. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:42, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm unblocking you[edit]

The response I made at ANI regarding what happened helped me to put things into perspective (you can read it here), and it made me realize that you're simply new and aren't yet affiliated with everything. It's unfair to keep you blocked for so long; hence, I'm unblocking your account. Please read and understand what edit warring is, and take time to communicate with others if you disagree with something rather than simply reverting changes (especially at AIV!). I hope and trust that you'll do this. If you need any kind of help or have any questions, my talk page is always open to you and you're welcome to chat with me there any time you need to :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 10:46, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
