I think you thought I was serious. Go take it to the WP:ANI :) Did you know....Wikipedia:WikiProject Mumbai/Article alerts has been started. It also appears on the Main project Page of WP:MUM. Cheers, KensplanetTC 05:53, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

If you stop abusing the powers Wikipedia has given you to malign certain countries while presenting India in a partisan manner to hide the negatives, dont expect others to heed to ur whining. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elcidd (talkcontribs) 19:48, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

User check

Happy New Year! Regarding your CU request, could you explain why you think these users are related? Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 21:05, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I don't think there is enough evidence to merit a CheckUser. Nishkid64 (Make articles, not wikidrama) 19:35, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you

Well, I am honoured that you've noticed what I consider to be only a little help for what seems to be a pretty awesome team of India related editors and articles. And a bunch of very nice people too! India has always fascinated me, and now some real experts and real Indians can teach me more! That's the absolutely amazing thing about Wiki. It's not just the articles, there are people behind the articles who talk! :D

I will be very quiet over January, because I have other work to do, but in February, I expect I'll enjoy getting involved in all the exciting work at India related articles.

So, a happy new year to you too! Oh editor of the very noble name! :) Alastair Haines (talk) 18:47, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: Note

Here is the reply I had composed to your note - why waste it ? :)

Yes, I am aware of the problem and agree with you that while many of the sources being used by Lalit are reliable, selective citation is being used to give some statistics and the articles from Economist undue weight. In fact, I made a note about this issue on India noticeboard a few hours back. Hopefully we will get some feedback there and be able to establish a consensus on how to deal with this on a project-wide basis since it concerns substantial edits to a large number of articles. Feel free to add your comments/evidence on INB so that we can have a centralized discussion (once the India project editors recover from their holiday swoon :) ). Cheers. Thanks indeed for reverting the vandalism edits at Omar Abdullah article Ekabhishek (talk) 06:15, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Unbeleivably they have put my gallery which you said was "the best page on here" up for deletion. I cannot believe how ridiculous people can be on this site at times, despite having 30 construction pages I am am not permitted to keep a gallery. I am so disgusted by the cheek of this that I am refrianing from editing wikipedia until this silly proposal is dropped The Bald One White cat 11:03, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Over Smart Peoples of Wikipedia

Hi!! You know why we are not able to expand Mum police and MumFB is due to lack of refrences. With out knowing this fact few people on wikipedia (They are not Indian) says that Articles on Vijay Salaskar, Ashok Kamte, Hemant Karkare are useless articles and should be deleted and says ""the relevant page is WP:NOTMEMORIAL: Wikipedia isn't a memorial site for deceased people. All articles on people who are notable only because they were killed in the Mumbai attacks belong merged into Casualties of the 2008 Mumbai attacks""(This article is not written as a Memorial nor as Homage) read thisSAVE THIS THREE ARTICLES FROM DELETION--Suyogtalk to me! 10:01, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Page move

You redirected State terrorism to State-sponsored terrorism on the grounds that the former is a fork of the latter. How can this be, when the former is more than a year older? Is it normal to move a six-year old article without prior discussion?

RfA thanks

Thank you for the trust you placed in me by supporting my RfA (which passed and, apparently, I am now an admin!). I will do my best to continue to act in a way that is consistent with the policies of wikipedia as well with our common desire to build and perfect this repository of human knowledge; and can only hope that you never feel that your trust was misplaced. Message from JSR

The education in India article, a top importance article under WP: India, has recently been rewritten by me. Though the rewrite is is no way complete I invite you to take a look and see, and if possible contribute. Sincerely, JSR 0562 18:26, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi.Could you look into the edits of User:Yousaf465 in State-sponsored terrorism[4]? Particularly in reverting against established consensus here? Thanks.70.112.77.127 (talk) 14:52, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

A possible sock puppet of User:Yousaf465, User:Strider11, has been engaging in similar edits to multiple articles, including promotion of racist hatred[5], violence[6], and racist conspiracy theories tuted by Pakistan-based Islamic fanatic, Zaid Hamid from Brass Tacks[7].24.28.83.178 (talk) 03:16, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Reliable sources

Hi. I was wondering if you could provide some input at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Films/Indian cinema task force#Reliable sources in Bollywood films articles as there is a disagreement over the reliability and intergrity of this sources. We need to come to a consensus on whether the sites mentioned are valid sources. Thanks. Dr. Blofeld White cat 22:27, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

I independently reviewed all of Adil your's edits and did not see any vandalism. Per WP:VAND, "Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. Even harmful edits that are not explicitly made in bad faith are not considered vandalism." I do not believe that Adil your intended to damage the encyclopedia - nor am I stating that I believe his edits were harmful (I have no opinion). If I am, in fact, wrong, and his edits were not an attempt to improve the encyclopedia, it would be helpful for you to provide, here, a clear explanation. Otherwise, I'll have to insist that you stop calling edits vandalism until you fully understand what vandalism is. Hipocrite (talk) 14:28, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Well great to get a response from a responsible person!
See this diff Here the added text by Adil your means "Ass fucker" (Hindi:"Gaand chudwai"). How pis this addition productive to Wikipedia? Regards, --KnowledgeHegemony talk 14:40, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Is there a way for me to verify that? Hipocrite (talk) 14:45, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Well not a RS, but here is Urban dictionary: I got meanings for the verb form ie."gaand chudwaana" ie. "ass+fucking" gand gaand chudwaana --KnowledgeHegemony talk 14:52, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Removing something dosen't disapear it. If he vandalizes further, it will be dealt with. Hipocrite (talk) 15:17, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Come on.

You know users are allowed to remove warnings - see WP:WARN "remember that any editor -including anonymous IPs- may remove messages at will from their own talk page.". Let it go. Hipocrite (talk) 15:20, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

No, the problem was that Shovon76 called his nationalistic edits vandalism, when they were actually just a content dispute. If Shovon76 hadn't called the obvious not-vandalism Kashmir edits vandalism, he would have been taken more seriously. Hipocrite (talk) 15:32, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
It's not vandalism, because he thinks having an encyclopedia that supports his POV is a better encyclopedia. It's disruptive. Hipocrite (talk) 15:42, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
