Helena Josefsson

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! A tag has been placed on Helena Josefsson, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Helena Josefsson is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Helena Josefsson. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. -- Merope 15:01, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Per Gessle - 2006 - Son of a Plumber CD.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Please, do not delete it. The image is given on the official site section for common non-commercial use in low-resolution. Kreecher (talk) 17:27, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your input requested

[edit]

Hi. A proposal on the re-creation of WP:RUSSIA is currently underway at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Russia/Proposal. One of the main points is that we should have workgroups covering different topics. We are trying to ascertain the interest of editors in various workgroups under WP:RUSSIA, such as history, politics, biographical, etc; as your userpage indicates you are Russian or live in Russia, perhaps you can take a read of the proposal, comment on it wherever you have thoughts, and perhaps provide details of any Russian topics you may be interested and are willing to collaborate with other editors on? Your input is valued. Cheers. --Russavia Dialogue Stalk me 20:21, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Party Crasher Tour 2009

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Party Crasher Tour 2009, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not for news, especially about popular entertainment. No indication this was a notable event.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Wikipedia Stories Project

[edit]

Hi!

My name is Victor and I'm a storyteller with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. I'm chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who make and use Wikipedia have so much to share.

I'm scouring user pages looking for inspiring, motivating and interesting stories of how Wikipedia has affected the lives of people. I'm asking questions like "How has Wikipedia changed your life?", "What's the most interesting story you have about Wikipedia?" and "Has Wikipedia ever surprised you?"

Last year, we used the annual fundraiser as a way to show the world who it is who actually writes Wikipedia. We featured editors from Brazil, Ukraine, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, India, United States and England. This campaign was a huge success, resulting in the most financially successful fundraising campaign ever. It was also a campaign that stayed true to the spirit of Wikipedia, educating the public that this free top-5 website is created by volunteers like you and I.

This year we want to highlight more Russian-language Wikipedia editors, so I am in the process of planning a trip to Russia to interview editors.

If you or someone you know (or have heard about) has been positively affected by Wikipedia, or have something interesting to say about Wikipedia I'd very much like to hear about it!

Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project, or if you know someone else with whom I should speak.

Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please ask! I will answer as soon as I can. I apologize for any poor translation of this letter, I am using Google-translate. I hope it makes you laugh :)

Thank you for your time,

Victor Grigas

Helena Josefsson living at home

[edit]

Friend,

Hope this note finds you well.

Thanks for all your hard work on bolstering Ms. Josefsson's entry. I'm glad she's getting the recognition she deserves. As I've noted on the page, the citation you list for the sentence that has her living at home doesn't actually support that. ( In between touring and recording sessions she works in one of the optic stores in Bjärred (near Malmö, south Sweden), where she currently resides with her family.) As revert-warring is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia, I'm asking you politely to either remove the material or find a better source. In the meantime, I've flagged the sentence os that others can assist in finding appropriate sourcing or better details on her home/work life. Thanks again, and best regards. GetSomeUtah (talk) 23:48, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @GetSomeUtah, thank you for your kind message. The information about her currently home address is taken from the open source. In Sweden there is a site, where you can enter a person's name and obtain his home address, as well as other personal data. Since this site is in Swedish only, only Swedes use it or those, who speak Swedish fluently. However, I would retain from linking this site in Wikipedia in order to save Mrs. Josefsson's privacy. For me, this is a principal matter. I do hope you understand.
You can of course leave the "citation needed" template after this statement until I find another open-source confirmation, some interview, etc. Also, knowing Mrs. Josefsson personally and meeting her almost every year in Sweden, I can assure you, this information is true. I can present personal pictures together with her and hand-written letters to prove this.
With the most kind regards, Kreecher (talk) 05:41, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Kreecher,
Thanks very much for the follow-up and explanation. I understand the sensitivities about posting personal information on Wikipedia, and I'm no expert on how WP handles sourcing on that issue. I'll drop the issue of that one sentence. Thanks again for your efforts on Ms. Josefsson's article. GetSomeUtah (talk) 09:05, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

December 2017

Information icon Hello, I'm Jd22292. I noticed that you recently removed content from En vacker dag without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 18:20, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I removed it, because two different pages do not correspond to each other. "En vacker dag" is the title of an album. Per Gessle is a singer. The album is not connected to him directly. There should be a separate article about the album. Not all missing articles about albums should be redirected to the singers, who recorded them. Kreecher (talk) 18:22, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
