This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ukrainian Levkoy, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.levkoy.sitecity.ru/stext_2302232100.phtml. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:49, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Your comments

[edit]

I have restored the article, and have removed all the information which was copied from another website. There is no reason to make the bot smarter, it is working perfectly. You cannot copy material from other websites, please write your own work. Thank you. SGGH speak! 11:02, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And incidentally, I, with urgency, request that you remove the aforementioned copyrighted text from your user page. As per Wikipedia:Userpage and Wikipedia:Copyright content of your userpage, like articles, cannot be copyrighted by other parties. You are violating the copyright of the site you took the content from unless you can provide reason for why the site may have released the information under GDFL or public domain. It is poor etiquette for me to delete your userpage without consultation, so please can you remove the content yourself or otherwise address the issues? I'll give you a day or so, but this needs to be sorted quickly. Thanks SGGH speak! 11:23, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Can you prove you own the content? If you can then that is fine. As long as you understand that by placing it on wikipedia you are releasing it until the GDFL contract, so anyone can use it. SGGH speak! 12:57, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You would have to get her permission. Why can't you just write it in your own words? It doesn't have to match the Russian or Ukranian Wikipedia entries. SGGH speak! 21:17, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And I apologise for not being able to follow your English 100%, if I could speak Ukranian, it would make it much easier! :) SGGH speak! 22:19, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay then, you need to prove that you have permission (see Wikipedia:Copyright for ways to do this) and you can just rearrange the pronouns and sentence structure to make it not an exact copy if you wanted. I am not an expert on copyright and proving you have it, so if the link I gave you doesn't have the information you want then you can place {{help me}} on this page and someone will come along to help you out. Best wishes, SGGH speak! 23:37, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
