This is an example of a self promotion link I added to Reflection Bay? It is completely about the pros at High Performance Golf Institute that is located at Reflection Bay? Yes, I wrote it and am proud of it. It is the best and most comprehensive article available about the HPGA. It is no way should go against guidelines of Wikipedia in this instance as I am a niche writer providing quality information. Thank you. https://www.lasvegasgolfinsider.com/2022/04/28/lake-las-vegas-tour-pros-reveal-key-to-great-golf-play-tension-free/

Thank you very much for reaching out. I in now way was trying to spam by adding these links. I am a Las Vegas golf author and writer for 30 years and the information that I have added, I believe, is additive to the Wikipedia experience for users. A golfer will be searching information for a course they may want to play and if there is a small link to a guide that may assist them, I believe this would be helpful. The links I provide also have direct links to the official course websites, another advantage of these links, which also include addition quality information. Thanks!!

Please do not be adding work that you have created. It is considered self-promotion and is not allowed. If you would like to add that information to the article, please find it from a different website. Thanks. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 20:36, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The entire goal of Wikipedia is to provide quality information. In many cases, I am the only writing about this and while it can be viewed as self promotion, what can I do if I provide this quality service. Stunned at my first experiences with Wikipedia and I would ask you take a look at this page, which surely you are familiar with. Again, I have added only insightful information to each of the pages I have edited and info that people would love to know. The fact that I wrote it only adds to the qualify of the editor in this case.

Please see Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_a_soapbox_or_means_of_promotion. The entire purpose of your account seems to be promoting your own webpage. Also, the page you linked is an essay -- not one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 20:46, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You seem to be missing the point here. It doesn't matter if the articles you have written are the most comprehensive available. It still counts as self-promotion to be adding your website to dozens of pages. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 20:52, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So here is my final reply and I am stunned by this. Yes, I would love more people to read these articles. And, yes, I just got involved with Wikipedia. I can see your point about me adding some of the links to the "guides" but the links to the actual articles are exactly when Wikipedia is and should be about. Providing the best information? Did I overdo some of the links? Maybe. Should they all be reverted? Don't think so. I ask you to reconsider your approach in this matter as I am not a fly by night web operator, but one who has spent three decades covering golf in Las Vegas. I am considering re-reverting some of your edits, but will not on some others. I hope you can see the quality of the work and each case should be handled differently. I could have made a dummy account and made these edits but I am upfront, honest and provide the best information that I can. Thanks again. LVGolf34 (talk) 20:56, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Ingenuity. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Rio Secco Golf Club have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 20:18, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Las Vegas Tribe of Paiute Indians of the Las Vegas Indian Colony, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. >>> Ingenuity.talk(); 20:22, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
