A tag has been placed on Ben Sandstetdt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Notability criteria

[edit]

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a social network. Articles are about notable things and the notability must be independently verifiable. The criteria for notability of athletes can be found at wp:athlete Porturology (talk) 07:16, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Ben Sandstetdt

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Ben Sandstetdt. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 07:16, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Ben Sandstetdt. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 07:21, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I DID PUT A HOLD ON TAG BUT THEY WERE STILL DELETED! I WAS NOT DONE WITH THE ARTICAL

this was not the whole thing, he donated money to charity also

Unfortunately, adding a {{hangon}} tag is not an automatic reprieve from speedy deletion. Wikipedia does not have an article on everything; all articles must meet basic notability criteria. The article was about a blatantly non-notable person, and I highly doubt there is any 10th-grader who has millions of dollars to donate. If you have any questions, you can reach me on my talk page. -RunningOnBrains(talk page) 08:19, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox batting averages

[edit]

Are *career* averages, not the current season average. Please stop changing them, except to update the career number. Majorclanger (talk) 13:54, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:I00004WCziN ArHw.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 04:04, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ben Sandstetdt, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

this player does not exist. There are no Google-hits for this person, and there is no record at MinorLeagueBaseball.com, Baseball-Reference.com, or TheBaseballCube.com.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. NatureBoyMD (talk) 03:11, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
