It seems like a TAD of muzzling. What I have written was actually penned by the "Beloved Saint". WHY< WHY< WHY is this being trundled off to the back of the shelf ? If Wikipedia IS an engine of facts, why is this particular 'edit' NOT CONSTRUCTIVE ? Constructive to whom ? I thought information has NO AGENDAS. Is Wikipedia now in the business of hiding the TRUTH ?

  • Please read the five pillars, linked above.
  • Stop writing in capital letters - it antagonizes people.
  • Not to be harsh, but nobody cares what you personally think of Saint Augustine. Wikipedia doesn't publish original research.

I will warn as many people as I can about Wikipedia, and its' TRUTH BASHING as possible. What I quoted from THE CITY OF GOD, has nothing to do with what I think. Additionally, the Earth does HAVE opposite poles. St. Augustine was WRONG. An alleged saint's halo IS NOT WORTH HIDING THE TRUTH. It is NOT MY thoughts or opinions, that the "Illustrious" church father penned the inanity found in THE CITY OF GOD. I willingly distance myself from editing . I realize that Wikipedia CAN NOT BE TRUSTED to disseminate the Truth. You seem to be agenda driven. What you people are telling me is to: SHUT UP, don't tell people about an OBVIOUS error committed by a so called "saint". I see it as a bad sign, that in spite of the fact that there MUST BE quite a few Bright people working for Wikipedia, you can't DEAL with the TRUTH. Unless you can prove to the WORLD, not just me, that the inanity IS NOT present in THE CITY OF GOD, you are PROBABLY involved in PC behavior. I shudder at the consequences, that I and many others, have spotted the foolish statement, yet, the persistence of glossing over mistakes, appears to be a course which Wikipedia has embarked upon. HIDING THE TRUTH IS ALWAYS COSTLY. Someone WILL find out. Last but not LEAST, HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT NO ONE CARES ABOUT GLOSSING OVER A LIE, IN ORDER TO PRESERVE A FALSE PREMISE ?

I have indefinitely suspended your editing rights. Tom Harrison Talk 21:36, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Augustine, antipodes and science[edit]

Please stop repeatedly adding the same passage to the article Augustine of Hippo against the consensus of other editors. However you may be interested in joining a discussion on that article's talk page here: Talk:Augustine of Hippo#Augustine, antipodes and science, where I'm suggesting the possible addition to the article of something pertaining to the Augustine quote you've been attempting to add.
