Welcome![edit]

Hello, Landon Buford, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Landon Buford, which appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! --Animalparty! A tag has been placed on Landon Buford requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Hi, I have just replied to your question about the same topic at the Wikipedia Teahouse - you'll find your question and the reply at the bottom of the page, Wikipedia:Teahouse#A_page_about_myself. If that doesn't answer your question, please feel free to ask for clarifications. --bonadea contributions talk 16:56, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Landon Buford. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Big K.R.I.T., you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Avoid adding links to your own interviews in Wikipedia articles. If you think the interviews can be used as references, you can suggest it on the talk page of the relevant articles, but please make sure to be upfront about the fact that you are the person who conducted the interview. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 20:47, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
