User talk:Larasister
Hi Larasister. Nice to see someone contributing to TT articles. I just thought I should mention that your biographies read a little too promotional, and I thought I'd direct you to the Manual of Style for biography articles. If you have any questions, drop me a note. Guettarda (talk) 23:24, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hey Guettarda, thanks so much for the feedback. I've read the style guides, but as a writer I think I always try and "sell" or engage, and need to hold back a bit. ;) Do you have any specific passages I could revisit? Or could you perhaps edit them for me? I'm still learning my way around here, so happy to get pointed in the right direction! Looking forward to continuing to edit existing T&T pages and create new ones. Cheers! --Larasister (talk) 23:56, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- I've only looked at the Jeremy Taylor article, and the section of "freelance work" reads a bit more like a cv than an article. More text, less list. (I don't think it's encyclopaedia-worthy, but the thing about him that's burned most deeply into my brain is the interview he gave to the BBC World Service in 1990, on the evening of the coup. I also remember him talking about it later, of the reporter from the BBC asking "is everything all right down there".) Guettarda (talk) 00:12, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- Great, thanks, that's really helpful. Will go work on that now. --Larasister (talk) 00:18, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

I undid the blanking. I feel he meets the Wikipedia notability. Whether I can source it or not is another issue. But I think it's worth trying to make the case. Guettarda (talk) 19:20, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
