Edit warring on Acupuncture against consensus

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Can you please show me where the consensus is? I do not see it anywhere. Furthermore, I modified my edits to address your concerns and I explained this in the edit summary. I'm not sure why you repeated to remove them. LesVegas (talk) 03:48, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

The Echo alert function

Hi, LesVegas. Just a technical note: I see you meant to ping Kim Dabelstein Petersen in your message on QuackGuru's page, but the ping function is very touchy (as I discovered when it bit me in the same way). It'll only work if you link the user's name and sign your post simultaneously, in the same edit. So you can fix the problem by removing your post and then replacing it, with a fresh signature. @Bishonen:. OK, this is both a test to make sure I'm using the echo alert properly now, and to thank you for your help! I appreciate it very much! It's a good reminder that, yes, there are nice and helpful people on Wikipedia. Thank you again! LesVegas (talk) 23:05, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

Yep, this worked. You're welcome. Bishonen | talk 23:24, 13 October 2014 (UTC).

Don't edit archived discussions

Hi, I reverted this edit to the edit-warring noticeboard, because it adds new material to an archived discussion. In general, editing archives is frowned upon. Cardamon (talk) 08:38, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
