I have been on Wikipedia for quite some time now and have a lot of different things on my Watchlist. Primarilly these days working on earthquake stuff. I customarilly only write my thoughts into the "Talk" section and allow someone more professional to write the completed work into an article on the Front Page. Thank-You!!! EQ Guy

Earthquake chasing

[edit]

Hi, sorry to not respond, the day job has been taking a lot of my time and the hydraulic fracturing article has been a permanent distraction recently. I didn't want to reply before taking a proper look at this - but having done so, I'm not sure that there is enough there to justify adding anything to the prediction page. There are lots of people making lots of claims about earthquake prediction, but it's really hard to substantiate any of it and that single report is probably not enough. Sorry to be negative about this. Mikenorton (talk) 20:27, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Lesbrown99. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Les Brown (actor)".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Les Brown (actor)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 02:01, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Lesbrown99. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:06, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Lesbrown99, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:08, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I nominated your userpage for deletion because ultimately a page should only contain information about yourself as it pertains to editing Wikipedia. There can be some limited information about a person, but it should not be used as a repository for off-Wikipedia links about yourself. From what I can see you've been trying to add yourself to Wikipedia since 2012, when you began working on an AfC draft. While this hasn't been the entirety of your edits, it has been a fairly pervasive theme and your userpage just really came across as promotional. Wikipedia is not a place to promote yourself and it's heavily discouraged for people to try to write about themselves. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:25, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WHAT?Lesbrown99 (talk) 04:37, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mason Ramsey Pages requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Deleted, Or Not???

[edit]

Not sure if it was decided this should be deleted. . . or not! Judging by the latest write-up on the subject@ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mason_Ramsey Perhaps THIS is also a "Candidate For Speedy Deletion" too??? LESLesbrown99 (talk) 04:58, 18 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

A long time ago I was at camp in college with my friends one of my friends called mina wanted me to have dinner with her not knowing that she wanted me to join her club and it was all about learning so I took that opportunity down and went to join my other friends later that day mina was talking to her club they were talking about a competition coming up I over heard there conversation and I wanted to join but my space had already been taken. the day of the competition came and Mina's team won the headmaster was very happy and gave mina big and shiny trophy and I was left behind and that was the biggest mistake I have ever made☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ by Annabel. 105.112.76.81 (talk) 12:35, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
