- @LewisChu: I also wanted to talk to you about the page you recently made Arab celebrities. I think you're doing a fantastic job, and we really appreciate the contributions you're making! But we already have a similar page at List of Arabs, that seems to cover much of what you're working on here. It might be easier (for you) to work on adding to that article. As it currently stands, Arab celebrities will definitely be moved to List of Arab celebrities (because it's a list), and then other volunteers will decide what to do with it. If you don't think the page I linked to is quite what you're looking to work on, I would love to help you figure out where to go from here, and we could determine what we would need to do. (I will be following this page, so if you reply below I will see if, but if you want to be 100% sure I see it, you can ping me by writing {{ping|Menaechmi}} (being sure to include the "{{}}"). Thank you, menaechmi (talk) 13:47, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
Redirects
[edit]Please read Help:Redirect on how to create a redirect. The way you did it for Sheikh Al-Said was not correct and has been fixed. Thanks. Bennv3771 (talk) 11:10, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
Deletion discussion about Arab celebrities
[edit]Hello, LewisChu,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Arab celebrities should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Arab celebrities .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,

Categories
[edit]Hello. WP:Categories are not simple metatags, it's important that they in turn are categorised so that they can be found by humans and maintenance bots. You can find suitable parent categories by browsing the hierarchy or using tools like WP:HOTCAT. If you had done so when creating Category:Muslim Artists you would have found that there was already a category at Category:Muslim artists - the general rule on Wikipedia is that categories use normal "sentence" capitalisation. Personally I'd suggest the best use of your time would be to use your language skills and access to references to improve articles, rather than worry too much about creating new categories. If you look at the grids on Wikipedia:WikiProject Arab world and Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam/Assessment you'll find plenty of Top priority articles in need of work. Cheers. Speedy deletion nomination of Saira Ahmed al-Said
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Saira Ahmed al-Said requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Edwardx (talk) 22:53, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
The article Ask Tuki has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Deb (talk) 12:32, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/LewisChu, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Blocked for sockpuppetry
[edit]This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing for sock puppetry per evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/LewisChu. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. If you believe that this block was in error, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below.
