A tag has been placed on Langham Hotel Boston, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. LittleOldMe 10:05, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

username

[edit]

There are several issues that I wish to bring to your attention:

First, this account appears to be associated with the company Langham Hotel International. Under Wikipedia:Username policy#Inappropriate usernames, accounts with usernames that match the name of a group should be blocked. If you wish to assert that this account is an official public relations account of Langham Hotel International, please send an email to either myself or another Wikipedia administrator from an email address that proves affiliation with this organization.

Second, this account may be construed as an attempt at impersonation. Per site policy and your creation of multiple hotel articles that I have deleted as blatant advertising, I am temporarily blocking editing privileges for this account. Please be sure to ask the administrator that you contact with proof of your affiliation to also unblock.

Third, once your affiliation has been confirmed and you have been unblocked, I suggest that you explicitly state your affiliation on your userpage, as well as confirming your understanding of relevant site policies. Please read the policy Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. I also recommend the unofficial essay User:Jmabel/PR. This will hopefully avoid any future difficulties.
