Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/8x8[edit]

Greetings! You tagged 8x8 for deletion, but you did not explain the reasons for the nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/8x8. Are you going to complete the nomination? —C.Fred (talk) 15:25, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@C.Fred: It appears Liberalarmb is a new user, therefore cannot create the page. --  Kethrus |talk to me  15:26, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

To much promotional info. Its needs a Speedy Delete.

And I would decline the speedy delete, because the article is not hopelessly spammy. Do you still want to start deletion discussion? —C.Fred (talk) 15:34, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

They paid for all there press releases. Why are you so against that?

I don't see what press releases have to do with an article that's citing (apparently) independent sources. —C.Fred (talk) 15:38, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You can see it here http://investors.8x8.com/releasedetail.cfm?releaseid=888327

It's a press release. Companies issue press releases. What's your point? —C.Fred (talk) 15:42, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You cant do that. How is that make them notable? They also paid lots for this http://www.infonetics.com/pr/2015/Cloud-UC-Vendor-Scorecard-Highlights.asp this is not what Wikipedia is about.

The article does rely on some press releases, but there is also independent coverage, including by the Washington Post [1] and CRN [2]. —C.Fred (talk) 15:47, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Once you pay to write the article its not a Wikipedia article.

Where is your evidence that the editors of the Wikipedia article were paid to write it? —C.Fred (talk) 15:56, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Jive Communications. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. TL22 (talk) 15:27, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of RingCentral[edit]

Please explain why you think RingCentral is a paid article. I am starting to have reservations about whether your edits are really constructive, or whether you are advancing an agenda against certain topics or companies. —C.Fred (talk) 15:35, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from RingCentral, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, proposed deletion is disallowed on articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! —C.Fred (talk) 15:39, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. TL22 (talk) 15:43, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Something about Proposed Deletion tags[edit]

Proposed Deletion is for uncontroversial deletions. If someone contests it, it means the deletion is already controversial and as such you must send it to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Please follow the instructions as WP:AFDHOWTO rather than repeatedly rePRODding. --TL22 (talk) 15:56, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Liberalarmb", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it is too close to the username of another Wikipedian, User:Liberalartist. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. TL22 (talk) 20:03, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Liberalarmb, welcome to Wikipedia. I want to presume good faith, but I think User:ToonLucas22 was right to have some concern. Since your first edit to Wikipedia seems to have been the AfD proposal for 8x8, and I had objected to the PROD of 8x8 shortly before that, it seems like the similarity of our usernames might confuse people. Perhaps you could explain your thoughts? LiberalArtist (talk) 18:48, 7 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

About PRODs (again)[edit]

When you reverted my procedural PROD removal recently, you restored the PROD added 2 months ago along with its timestamp. I procedurally removed it again, so I suggest you cleanly PROD the article again so that the timestamp is correct, if you still think the article warrants deletion. --TL22 (talk) 21:52, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
