- Dear Wikipedia Watch Dogs -- Per you notes below, please know that I am the orginal author of the "Kansas Poet Laureate - Denise Low" information. I am the creator/developer of the website www.kansaspoets.com where the info orginally appears. Please note that I create/write all the text that appears on the site that otherwise is NOT credited to other writers. I work closely with Dr. Low and she asked that I place the material "as is" on Wikipedia. I would assume that this would make the posting of the article on Wikipedia ok. Note that I will place a message on the kansaspoets.com website stating that it is OK to use the information... as it is public domain info. I will also place a note on the Wikipeda materail that the info also appears ont eh kansaspoets.com website. As well, per your instructions,I am also sending you an e-mail regarding this topic. This was my first attempt at placing material on your website. I will be more be more alert as to the rules next time. Please note that I now canNOT locate the article that I might make the changes. Do I have to republish it? Thanks for the insight. Sincerely, GG
- If you follow this course of action, it will be OK, yes, as it is public domain. However, we are also now dealing with other problems. One of which is that the tone of the article alone would have qualified it as spam. Don't be alarmed - when people take material off their own websites, they usually qualify as spam, as what they say on a website is meant to sound flowery. Please see WP:SPAM. As such, if the article is recreated, it would have to be extensively edited anyway. I hope this is clear. 18:30, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Your article review request
[edit]I am editing Elizabeth Farnsworth, but have come to a stop as the link for Topeka Magazine is bad. Can you please check it? Also, could you create the page Tabular Byzantine calendar, either as a stub or including the text in my article review request, which is three sections above yours? If you wish to discuss sourcing, please create a new section to follow Talk:Byzantine calendar#Renaming the Article. Happy Byzantine New Year! 92.29.253.249 (talk) 10:37, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hello - First thank you for your review and suggestions. The Topeka Magazine webpage reference no longer exists, thought it did a few weeks ago when I used it. Consequently, I have now removed cite. However, cite 6 (now the new #5) also states Farnsworth graduation date as 1961. --- you asked: "could I create the page Tabular Byzantine Calendar, either as a stub or... etc." Apologies, but I don't understand... perhaps go to "Talk: Byzantine..." and continue our chat there? -- Regards Limestone9 (talk) 19:27, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
